What to Expect

Your ride through Lakepoint State Park can be as relaxed or adventurous as you want it to be. From peaceful campground trails to wooded paths and more rugged terrain, there is plenty to explore along the way.

Wildlife & Nature

Riders will more than likely see squirrels, but may also see rabbits, various birds, lizards, snakes, deer, alligators, butterflies, and other local wildlife.

You will also see many different types of local flora. Throughout several trails at Lakepoint State Park, there are informational plaques about different plants and animals. Feel free to stop, read, and learn more about the local environment as you ride.

Campground & Scenic Trails

The campground has several different trails to enjoy. Dirt trails run around the campground area, starting right outside the campground gates.

There is also a wooded trail through the middle of the campground. This area is full of flowers, butterflies, wild berries, and many beautiful things to see along the way.

Roads run throughout Lakepoint State Park and the campground, giving riders the chance to travel from the campground beach area to the swamps of the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge, with woods, water views, and scenic routes in between.

For More Adventurous Riders

For more experienced riders, the Lakepoint State Park ORV Trail offers over 5 miles of trails.

This trail is considered more moderate to difficult because it includes raw natural terrain such as overgrown areas, rocks, holes, branches, uneven ground, and other obstacles.

We recommend this trail only for confident riders who are comfortable handling a bike on rougher terrain.

Need help choosing a route? Give us a call and we can email you a picture of the available trail maps.
